1. Purpose of Membership

CETA membership is designed for Canadian companies seeking structured access to global commercial opportunities, with a strategic emphasis on expanding into Asian markets, including China.

Through its membership platform, CETA connects Canadian enterprises with international trade missions, major exhibitions, industry partners, and distribution networks worldwide. The association works with members to develop practical pathways for market entry, partnership development, and long-term commercial growth across multiple regions.

CETA maintains close collaboration with exhibition organizers, industry associations, and trade institutions across key global markets, with particularly strong engagement in Asia. The association supports member participation in leading international trade platforms such as the China International Import Expo (CIIE), the Canton Fair, and other major sector-specific exhibitions worldwide.

Membership provides companies with a coordinated platform to explore new markets, build trusted international partnerships, and participate in organized trade initiatives led or supported by CETA, enabling sustainable global business expansion.



2. Eligibility Criteria

Membership is open to legally registered companies, institutions, and qualified individuals who support the mission and objectives of CETA.

Applicants should:

• Support the mission and objectives of CETA

• Demonstrate a professional interest in international trade and market development

• Maintain lawful business operations and good professional standing

• Agree to comply with CETA’s Articles of Incorporation, bylaws, and applicable policies

All membership applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the association’s objectives and professional standards.

3. Membership Categories & Annual Fees

3.1 Corporate Membership

Corporate membership is open to legally registered enterprises, trade associations, and institutions engaged in manufacturing, trade, logistics, exhibition services, technology, or related commercial activities.

Corporate members participate in CETA’s international trade initiatives and market development programs.

Annual Fee: CAD $100 per company per year

3.2 Individual Membership

Individual membership is open to professionals, consultants, academics, and industry practitioners who are engaged in or interested in international trade, market development, and exhibition-related industries.

Individual members may participate in CETA networking activities, industry forums, and selected trade initiatives organized by the association.

Annual Fee: CAD $50 per member per year

5. Membership Term & Renewal

Membership is valid for one calendar year from the date of approval and payment.

Renewal requires:

• Payment of the applicable annual membership fee

• Continued compliance with CETA policies and membership standards.

6. Member Responsibilities

Members are expected to:

• Uphold the reputation and professional standards of CETA

• Conduct business activities in accordance with applicable laws and ethical practices

• Refrain from using the CETA name or platform for unauthorized commercial purposes

• Support collaborative initiatives that advance the association’s mission

Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of membership following review by the association.

7. Termination of Membership

Membership may be terminated under the following circumstances:

• Voluntary resignation by the member

• Non-payment of membership fees

• Conduct that violates CETA policies or damages the reputation of the association

CETA reserves the right to make final determinations regarding membership status.
